Journalist attacked by 'BNP activists' on SC premises

A journalist was injured in an attack allegedly by workers of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on the Supreme Court premises on Wednesday.

Javed Akhtar, senior staff reporter of private TV channel ATN News, was taken to Islami Bank Hospital in the city for treatment.

Some other individuals were also assaulted by the attackers at that time while trying to protect Javed.

According to the eyewitnesses, journalists were waiting for a briefing from the lawyers in front of the Supreme Court Annex Building around 11:50am.
