Judges' conduct rules won't affect judiciary: Anisul

Law Minister Anisul Huq said on Tuesday the freedom of the judiciary will not be affected by the rules which have been issued determining discipline and conduct of lower court judges, reports UNB.
The minister came up with the remark while addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of 19th training course for the government prosecutors and public prosecutors at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the city.
According to the section 29 (2) of the discipline and conduct rules, if any disagreement arises between the President and the Supreme Court over any issue and matter is not solved, then Supreme Court's suggestion will be granted finally, said Anisul.
"So, the freedom of the judiciary will not be affected by the discipline and conduct rules," he added.
