Claiming that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman are not victims of political vengeance or political trial, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu observed on Tuesday, saying they are facing the consequences of their misdeeds, reports UNB.
"Convicted in people's court long ago for Hawa Bhaban corruption, Khaleda and Tarique have now been proved corrupt in the court of law," he said.
The Information Minister was addressing a programme organised by Bangladesh Betar at Jatiya Betar Bhaban auditorium marking the World Radio Day.
Inu also said the trial of the BNP chief and its senior vice-chairman Tarique has established justice against injustice and this is also a warning message for all the corrupt elements.
