Khaleda wants to turn country into Pakistan: Dipu Moni

Awami League (AL) joint general secretary Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday said BNP chief Khaleda Zia wants to turn Bangladesh into Pakistan again taking the anti-liberation forces with her, reports BSS.

"Begum Zia is working as a collaborator of Pakistan as she did during the Liberation War...She gave our national flag to anti-liberation forces and now she wants to turn the country into Pakistan," she said.

Dipu Moni made the comment while speaking at a discussion on 'Women's Role in Liberation War' organised by Awami League Dhaka district unit at the National Press Club in the city.

AL district unit president Benzir Ahmed and general secretary Mahbubur Rahman addressed the discussion as special guests, among others.

Dipu Moni said Bangabandhu's daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the highest respect to all freedom fighters and she is taking the country forward in all sectors.

She urged the all women to be united to resist the evil forces in the next parliament elections with the spirit of Liberation War.
