Miscreants gun down JL man in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Mar 25 (UNB): A Jubo League (JL) activist was shot dead by miscreants at Purbobhujpur Mirerkhilbari in Fatikchhari upazila in the port city early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Harun, 35, son of late Hossain Ahmed of the village.

He was actively involved in Jubo League politics for long, locals said.

Bhujpur Police Station officer-in-charge (investigation) Helal Uddin said being informed by locals, police recovered the body from a drain located nearby the deceased's house and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police are investigating the matter, the OC said, adding that none was arrested yet in this connection.
