Missing ex-Jubo Dal leader found dead in Tangail, five arrested

A former Jubo Dal leader has been found dead in Ghatail upazila of Tangail, three days after he reportedly went missing, report agencies.

The deceased is Mohammad Mintu Khan (47), former organising secretary of Sangrampur union unit of Jubo Dal and son of late Abdul Majid Master, former senior vice-president of upazila unit BNP.

Officer-in-Charge of Ghatail Police Station Moksedur Rahman said they recovered the body from Maicha Beel on Wednesday midnight.

He said Mintu went missing from Chamri Bazar in the upazila around 9:30pm on May 31.

A general diary was lodged at Ghatail Police Station on June 1 in this regard.

Later, police arrested one Sohel Rana for his suspected involvement in the incident.
