Murder accused arrested in city

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested an accused of a murder case from the city's Mirpur area, reports BSS.

The arrested Md Alif, 19, son of Golam Mostofa from Omanpur Khierpara area under Pirganj police station of Rangpur district, is a fugitive accused in the sensational Shariful murder case.

Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-10 Anayat Kabir told the BSS that acting on a tip-off a team of RAB conducted drive in the Mirpur Shopping Centre Complex area and arrested Alif.

Shariful was killed by a gang of miscreants in the Barabila Suez Gate area under Pirganj Municipality of Rangpur district on June 22, 2023, RAB sources said.
