National polls will be held at the earliest

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 14: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain has said national election will be held at the earliest possible time so that people can exercise their right to vote.

He made the comments while speaking at a programme at Chittagong International Convention Centre in the port city on Monday, marking the marking the birth centenary Gnanashree Mahasthavir of Buddhist community.

He also said government will take necessary steps to ensure security during celebrations of Kothin Chibor Dan, the most important festival by Buddhists.
