Next election as per constitution: Razzak

Awami League (AL) presidium member Dr Abdur Razzak said on Friday the next national election will be held as per the Constitution and BNP will have to come in the election under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports UNB.

"Next national election will be held in scheduled time. The interim government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will assist the Election Commission," he said.

The AL leader made the comments while speaking as the chief guest at a memorial meeting on the late national leader Abdur Razzak, organised by Damudda Upazila Juba Kalyan Trust at the National Press Club in the city, marking the 6th death anniversary of the leader.

Among others, Dhaka South City AL general secretary Shah Alam Murad, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Krishak League Advocate Khandakar Shamsul Haque Reza and AL leader Barrister Zakir Hossain attended the discussion.
