Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader said on Sunday there is no scope for BNP to be included in the interim government, reports BSS.
"As BNP has no representation in parliament, it has no scope to stay in interim government," he said.
The AL leader made the remarks while inaugurating the illumination of an intersection at Hemayetpur in Savar on the Dhaka-Aricha highway.
Quader said if BNP tries to create anarchy in the name of movement, people
of the country will resist them.
About recent road accidents on highways, the minister said a probe body
has been formed in this regard and it will submit investigation report by 10 days.

Meanwhile, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said on Sunday BNP has no alternative to joining the next general election under the present government since the party will lose its existence in case of election boycott.
"Like different countries, the next election will be held as per the Constitution. If BNP does not come in the next parliamentary elections, the party will lose its existence," he told journalists after exchanging Eid greetings with officials and employees of the Commerce Ministry at the Secretariat.
Tofail said an election-time government will be formed as per the Constitution which will provide all-out cooperation to the Election Commission to conduct the election.
"The upcoming parliament session is likely to be the last one of the present parliament," he added.
The minister said people want to see the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in power since she has taken the country to a new height.
Responding to a question, Tofail said the government has no plan to export the rawhide for expanding the country's leather industry.
