Shaheed Noor Hossain Day will be observed today (Sunday) in a befitting manner, reports BSS.
On this day in 1987, Noor Hossain, who imprinted his bare chest and back with the slogans 'Free democracy' and 'Down with autocracy', embraced martyrdom in police firing during an anti-autocracy demonstration at Zero Point in the ccapital, now known as Shaheed Noor Hossain Square.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and other political and social organizations have taken various programmes to observe the day.
