Nur shifted to cabin after health condition improves

The physical condition of Gono Odhikar Parishad president Nurul Haque Nur has improved as he was shifted from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a cabin at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital on Monday.

Director of DMCH Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman briefed the media about Nur's health development.

"Nurul Haque Nur is now much better than before. It will take four to six weeks for the broken bones in his nose and jaw to heal completely. However, on doctors' advice, he is able to consume normal food," he said.

Meanwhile, Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain visited the DMCH on Monday to inquire about the health condition of Nurul Haque Nur, also a former vice-president of DUCSU.

Sakhawat, who also serves as adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, arrived at the hospital around 10:00 am (Monday) and talked with the attending physicians regarding the medical status and ongoing treatment of Nurul Haque Nur.

The Shipping Adviser directed the medical team to ensure comprehensive and advanced care for Nur as well as other individuals who sustained injuries in the same incident.
