People should know about Bangabandhu's life, says Maya

CHANDPUR, March 17 (BSS): Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya said on Saturday people should know about the life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to steer the nation towards right path of development.

"We have to project eventful life of Bangabandhu before the young generation to let them know about his immense contribution was to free the Bangalee nation from the shackle of subjugation," he told a discussion at the Matlab upazila in the district, an official release said.

Matlab Upazila Administration organized the discussion on the occasion of 99th birthday of Bangabandhu and National Children's Day.

Maya called upon the people of the country to build our young generation with the spirit of noble qualities so that they can materialize Bangabandhu's dream of transforming the country into "Sonar-Bangla".

Chairman of Matlab Upazila Uttar Parishad Manzur Ahmed Manju and President of Matlab Upazila Unit of Awami League (AL) Advocate Ruhul Amin, among others, addressed the discussion with the upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharmin Akhtar in the chair.
