Plots on to create constitutional crisis: Salahuddin Ahmed

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has said conspiracy is going on to create constitutional crisis in the country.

He also called upon all to remain vigil so that the collaborators of the fascist cannot get any mileage over constitutional crisis.

He made the comments while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with the family members of the martyrs during the student-led movement, organised by Dhaka City North of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Agargaon in the capital on Sunday.

"Conspiracy is going on to create constitutional crisis in the country. We have to look into whether there are constitutional and political crises in the country and which forces are behind such crisis. We have to analyse the situation first and also its potential outcomes," he said.

"There is a demand for banning Awami Legue. It is people's demand. Chhatra League was banned under Anti-terrorism Law. We have no reaction to it. Those who have banned the Chhatra League are being praised by the people of the country," he continued.
