Police arrest 7, including AL leaders

Detective police of the DMP arrested seven individuals, mostly leaders and activists of banned Awami League and its affiliated bodies, from different places of the capital in the 24 hours until Sunday morning.

The arrestees are Nizam Uddin (37), president of Swechchasebak League of south Surma unit of Sylhet city corporation; Fahim Ahmad Shah (36), organising secretary of Sylhet district Chhatra League; Mobarak Hossain Palak (32), vice-president of Dhaka north city unit banned Chhatra League; Md Faruk Hossain Akon (50), central committee member of Bangladesh Inter districts Truck Drivers; Md Wahedul Islam Khan Sajib (52), former joint general secretary of banned Chhatra League of Lalbagh area of Dhaka south city; Md Miraz Hossain (26), AL activist; Md Ershad Ali (45), agriculture affairs secretary of Swechchasebak League and also president of Sajib Wazed Joy Parishad.

Legal action was taken against them, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
