Police arrest Gazipur AL leader, sent to jail

Police arrested acting president of Kashimpur unit (under Gazipur district unit) of banned Awami League (AL) S M Ashraful Alam Askar (60) on Thursday.
DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman disclosed the development to the media.
He said a team of Tejgaon Police Station arrested Askar from Indira Road area in the capital. Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter sent to jail., as two cases were pending against him.
