Police arrest PCP GS in Khagrachhari over attack on PM\'s motorcade

KHAGRACHHARI, Oct 23 (UNB): Police arrested the general secretary of Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP), a United People's Democratic Front (UPDF)-backed organisation of indigenous students, from Mohammadpur area in Paanchhari upazila on Sunday morning. The arrestee was identified as Bipul Chakma (22), an accused in 13 cases, including a case filed in connection with the attack on a motorcade of Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina.

Abdul Jabbar, officer-in-charge (OC) of Panchhari thana, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 8:00 am and arrested Bipul, who remained absconding for long, from a microbus.
