Police detain six Neo-JMB operatives in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 14: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested six operatives of Neo-JMB on Tuesday night.

The Counter Terrorism Unit of CMP arrested them from different spots of Bandarban district, and Lohagara and Satkania upazilas of Chattogram district.

The arrestees are Mohammed Muhidul Alam (24), Md Jahir Uddin (28), Mohammed Mainuddin (20), Md Abu Sadek (22), Mohammed Rahamat Ullah alias Akib (24) and Md Alauddin (24).

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism Unit of CMP Asif Mohiuddin told the journalists that these six people are involved with newly reorganised JMB.

All six arrested persons were involved with blast at police box at gate number two areas in the port city in February, he added.
