Police nab four JMB men in city

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested four suspected active members of banned Islamist outfit JMB from the city's Abdullahpur area on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The arrestees are Mohibul Islam (22), Md Muzammel Hoque alias Billal (34), Shamim Ahammad (27) and Md Delwar Hossain (37).

The specialised CTTC unit also recovered 96 detonators, two sharp weapons (Chapati) 10 batteries and bomb -making substances from their possessions.

Based on secret information, a team of the CTTC conducted a drive in the area and detained the four along with the recovered items, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman of DMP.
