Police nab two over AL expat leader's death in Sylhet

SYLHET, Sept 03 (UNB): Police arrested two people from the city on Sunday evening in a case filed over the murder of Awami League Kuwait unit leader SM Abdul Ahad.

Mosharaf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana, said they arrested two people for interrogation.

However, police did not disclose their names.

Earlier, victim's wife Rasna Begum filed the murder case with Kotwali thana accusing 05 to 06 unnamed people.

SM Abdul Ahad (40), son of Haji Nur Miah of Munshibazar KarimpurMedeni Mahal in Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar district and organising secretary of Kuwait unit of Awami League, who came to Sylhet from Moulvibazar on Thursday to attend a party programme, was hacked to death in the city on Friday morning.
