Police recover eight hand bombs in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, May 04 (BSS): Police recovered eight hand bombs from the Shayampur Sand Ghat area under Katakhali Police Station in the city today.

On a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in the area this noon and recovered the live hand bombs. However, none could be arrested in this connection.

Mehedi Hassan, Officer-in-Charge of Katakhali Police Station, said each of the bombs was rapped with red-tape.

He said the matter is being investigated and legal action will be taken against those who will be found guilty of storing the bombs there.

Earlier on April 29 last, police recovered three bombs from the same area.
