minister
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Tuesday said the Election Commission (EC) has been constituted maintaining transparency with participation of all.
The President constituted the new EC through forming a search committee as per his constitutional authority, said the minister while talking to reporters over the newly- formed EC at the Secretariat.
The EC was formed with those who were in government service and they did their job with honesty and efficiency.
The new EC, I hope, will perform its duty with efficiency. So, no one should raise any question about the EC, said Inu.
Replying to a question about the participation of all the political parties in the next election, the minister said, "I hope all the registered political parties will participate in the next election."
Pointing at BNP, Inu said BNP raises question about the EC but they failed to give any outline about election-time government yet and there are conspiracies behind the BNP proposal.
