President, PM greet DMP on its 43rd founding anniv

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have greeted members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on the occasion of its 43rd founding day, reports BSS.

In separate messages issued on the occasion of the founding day of the DMP, they lauded the role of the members of Bangladesh Police in maintaining law and order in the country.

Recalling the martyrs of Bangladesh Police, who sacrificed their lives in the War of Liberation, President Abdul Hamid said, "The members of Bangladesh Police made valuable contributions during the war of liberation".

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in her message, said "The DMP police has been working relentlessly in maintaining discipline and public safety, ensuring law and order and in combating militancy and criminal activities of the city."
