Pro-AL lawyers reiterate need for staying united

Members of Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parishad, a platform of pro-liberation lawyers, on Friday reiterated the need for remaining united for the greater interest of the country and its people, reports BSS.

"This is a forum for the lawyers who believe in the spirit of Liberation War. Awami League president Sheikh Hasina has formed Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parishad by bringing all the pro-liberation lawyers under one roof. So we have to remain united for the interest of the country and its people," they said.

They came up with the observations while addressing a general meeting of the forum at Awami League central office in themorning.

The meeting was presided over by its convener Adv Yusuf Hossain Humayun and conducted by its member secretary Barrister Fazle Noor Tapash, MP.

The meeting was also addressed by Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim, former Food Minister Qamrul Islam, senior jurists Abdul Baset Mazumder, Syed Rezaur Rahman, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, AFM Mesbah Uddin and Supreme Court Bar Association president AM Amin Uddin.
