Pro-AL panel sweeps CU dean polls

CHITTAGONG, Jan 2, (BSS): The pro-Awami League (AL)-backed yellow panel swept the dean election of Chittagong University (CU).

The yellow panel won all seven faculties - arts and humanities, business administration, social science, biological science, engineering, science faculty and law faculty.

CU acting registrar and chief election commissioner Prof Dr Kamrul Huda announced the results on Monday afternoon.

Those who were elected are Prof Dr Sekandar Chowdhury of the Arts faculty, Prof Dr Awarangajeb of the Business Administration faculty, Prof Dr Shafiul Alam of the Science faculty, Prof Dr Farid Uddin of the Social Science faculty, Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman of the Biological Science faculty; Prof Dr Shankar Lal Shaha of the Engineering faculty and Prof Dr ABM Abu Noman of the Law faculty.
