Probe report submission date shifted again to December 29

A Dhaka court has fixed December 29 for the submission of investigation report in the Sagar-Runi murder case, reports BSS.

The court set the date on Sunday as the investigation agency of the case, RAB, could not submit the investigation report of the case.

General Registration Officer of Sher-e-Banglanagar thana Mohammad Asad confirmed the matter.

On February 11, 2012, Sagar Sarwar, news editor of Maasranga Television, and Meherun Runi, senior reporter of ATN Bangla, were killed.

After the incident, Nowsher Alam Roman, brother of Runi, filed the murder case with Sher-e-Banglanagar thana.

At first, the investigating officer of the case was a sub-inspector (SI) of the thana.

Four days later, the investigation into the sensational murder case was handed over to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB).

After more than two months of investigation, DB failed to unravel the mystery. Later, on April 17 of the same year, the High Court directed RAB to investigate the murder case.
