Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader has urged the former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders to resist arson terrorists unitedly forgetting all differences of opinions, report agencies.
"Destructive activities of arson terrorism have begum again. We should fight against them together. We should forget all differences and fight unitedly against the violent activities," he said while exchanging views with the former BCL leaders at AL central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.
Quader said, "We should resist the evil efforts and anti-liberation forces. Hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will have to be strengthened. The Prime Minister is only the sentinel of our existence."
The AL general secretary said they (BNP-Jamaat) could not attack the Padma Bridge as the people resisted them. But they carried out violent activities in different major establishments including Setu Bhaban, elevated expressway, BTV Bhaban and metro rail, he said.
He said, "Ziaur Rahman was a fake camouflaged freedom fighter. We have to know these people."
Quader said duties of all former BCL leaders will be distributed. And it will be evaluated later.
During the meeting, former BCL leaders made a commotion as Obaidul Quader did not give them the chance to speak.
