RAB arrest two JMB militants in city

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB-Sarwar group) from two different areas in the city on Saturday night, report agencies.

Tipped off, a team of RAB-11 conducted drive in Khilgaon area around 8:30pm and arrested Arif Hossain (41), a top leader of Sarwar group of JMB, said Lt Col Kamrul Hasan, commanding officer (CO) of the elite force.

Later, the same team conducted drive in Mugda area and arrested Ramij Uddin (34), an operative of the militant outfit around 9:30 pm, he added.
