NARAYANGANJ, April 18 (BSS): Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a female along with her two accomplices for their suspected link to militancy from Narayanganj.
"We arrested one Jannatul Naim Mitu along with her two accomplices Mehedi Hasan Masud and Akbar Hossain Sumon from Sonakanda village under Bandar thana of Narayanganj on Tuesday night on a written complaint of her father," Commander Officer (CO) of RAB-11 Lt Col Kamrul Hasan said.
Mitu's father in his complaint urged for arresting his daughter for 'involvement' in militancy, he added.
He also said they are in hot pursuit to capture some 16 members of the banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) as the arrestees have link with them.
Mitu left house for Chattogram along with her two-year old daughter Roja Akhter on March 31 last to join a militant group, he said, adding that Mitu has become interested to be a militant through provocation of the detained Masud.
The RAB official said Mitu divorced her husband Jewel and was taking preparation to marry Masud.
Mitu along with his two accomplices returned to Narayanganj to carry out militancy, he added.
