Two BNP leaders collect nomination forms

The main opposition in parliament Jatiya Party (JP) has nominated M Rezaul Karim for the by-polls of Pabna-4 constituency, report agencies.
"M Rezaul Karim has been nominated as Jatiya Party candidate for the Pabna-4 by-polls following an interview before party's nomination board meeting at its Banani office", said a Jatiya Party release.
With party chairman and Jatiya Party nomination board president Golam Mohammad Quader in the chair, the meeting was also attended, among others, by party secretary general and nomination board member secretary Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Jatiya party Co-Chairman and nomination board member ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Syed Abu Hossen Babla MP and Mujibul Haq Chunnu MP.
Meanwhile, two aspirants bought on Sunday BNP's nomination forms to contest the upcoming Pabna-4 by-election.
They collected the nomination forms from BNP's Nayapaltan central office, said party senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The two aspirants are Pabna district unit BNP convener and party Chairperson's adviser Habibur Rahman Habib and Sramik Dal leader Ahsan Habib.
Rizvi said the aspirants will have to submit the nomination papers by 2:00 pm on Monday to contest the by-polls with the party's election symbol 'Sheaf of Paddy'.
Later, BNP nomination board will take interview of the aspirants at 5:00 pm at BNP chairperson's Gulshan office the same day.
The by-polls to Pabn- 4 seat is scheduled to be held on September 26.
