Rohingya man killed in Teknaf 'gunfight'

COX'S BAZAR, Sept 15 (UNB): A Rohingya man, a suspect in the murder of Jubo League (JL) leader Omar Faruk, was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Teknaf upazila early Sunday. The deceased was identified as Habib Ullah, 40.
Police said tipped off that Habib and his associates will commit robbery at Noyapara Mochoni registered camp, a team of police conducted a drive there.
Sensing presence of the law enforcers, the robbers fired gunshots on them, forcing them to fire back that triggered the gunfight. Habib and three cops were also injured during the gunfight. Habib was sent to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
