Salman F Rahman on remand in fresh case

A Dhaka court has placed ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's former adviser Salman F Rahman on a four-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of vegetable vendor Shaon in Ashulia area during the July-August mass uprising, reports BSS.
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Tajul Islam passed the order on Thursday as police produced the accused before the court with a seven-day remand prayer in the case. The court also showed former law minister Anisul Huq arrested in the case.
According to the case documents, Md Shahabul Islam Shaon used to sell vegetables on his rickshaw-van in Ashulia area.
