SC upholds HC bail for ex-Pirojpur MP Awal, wife

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday upheld a High Court order that granted bail to former Pirojpur-1 lawmaker AKMA Awal and his wife Laila Pervin in two graft cases, reports BSS.

A four-member apex court bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order, dismissing two pleas filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against the High Court (HC) order.
