Sharsha UZ polls

JASHORE, Mar 30 (UNB): The Awami League's chairman, vice-chairman and female vice-chairman candidates in Sharsha upazila polls were declared winners uncontested on Saturday.

Returning Officer Md Abul Awal said the upazila will not need to go to polls on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the Sadar upazila, the ruling party's chairman candidate was declared uncontested winner, said Mohammad Ibrahim, the assistant returning officer.

The election official said polls will be held in seven of the district's eight upazilas.
