Six minority community members get BNP tickets

There are six candidates from the minority communities among 206 BNP finalised on Friday the parliamentary seats, reports UNB.

They are Gayeshwar Chandra Roy (Dhaka-3, Nitai Roy Chowdhury (Magura-2), Goutam Chakraborty (Tangail-6) Milton Baidya (Madaripur-2), Moni Swapan Dewan (Rangamati) and Sa Chin Pru (Bandarban).

Of them, Gayeshwar is a BNP standing committee member while Nitai Roy is a vice chairman of the party.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam announced the names of the 206 final candidates of the party at a press conference at its chairperson's Gulshan office.
