Syed Ashraf takes 90 days’ leave from JS for treatment

Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, who is now undergoing treatment in Bangkok, has taken a 90-day leave from the Jatiya Sangsad, reports UNB.

Chief Whip ASM Feroz on behalf of Syed Ashraful Islam placed an application before Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury to grant his leave for the next 90 sittings of Parliament from Tuesday.

The Speaker read out the application before the House after Maghrib recess. Later, the House granted his leave by a voice vote.

According to the application, Syed Ashraful Islam is now undergoing treatment in Bangkok. Ashraf who underwent a surgery on Monday last needs to stay abroad for many more days to receive treatment.
