Sylhet court grants bail to BCL leader, nine others

SYLHET. Feb 07: A court in Sylhet has granted bail to former vice-president of district Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Sujel Ahmed Talukder and nine others in a case for attempting to snatch their associates from police custody.

However, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman Hero on hearing also rejected bail prayers of Emon and Tahmid in the same case on Tuesday.

The 10 are Sujel Ahmed Talukder, his brothers Sajib Ahmed Talukder and Sourav Ahmed Talukder, Manirul Islam, Kamrul Islam, Shahed Ahmed, Zubayer Khan, Masud Ahmed, Shamsuzzaman and Sumon Paul.
