Third phase upazila polls in March

The schedule for the third phase of the upazila polls is likely to be announced by Sunday with voting set for March, an election commissioner said Wednesday, reports UNB.
Election Commissioner Md Shah Nawaz told reporters that the schedule will be announced either today (Thursday) or latest by Sunday.
Voting in 98 upazila parishads will be held on February 19 in the first phase, and in the second phase 117 upazila parishads will go to polls on February 27.
Voting in the country's 480 upazila parishads will be completed in six phases by June this year.
