Three held for ‘distributing’ anti-govt leaflets

Police have arrested three people for their alleged involvement in distributing anti-government leaflets in Arambagh area of the capital.

The arrestees have been identified as Md Nazrul Islam (42), Md Jahangir Biswas (32) and Shipon (20).

Police have also seized a good number of leaflets from their possession.

Acting on secret information, a police team raided 'Udayan Printers' on Arambagh Post Office lane and arrested them during their leaflet distribution on Thursday.

The law enforcers also seized around 4,000 pieces of leaflets containing statements against the government and the state.

The leaflets urged the countrymen to make any anti-government programme a success.
