Travel ban on ex-Deputy Speaker Tuku, four others

A Dhaka has court has imposed travel ban on five people, including former Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku and his two sons-SM Asif Shams and SM Nafis Shams over graft charges, reports UNB.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order after hearing two separate petitions on Tuesday.

The court also ordered blocking of their National Identity Cards.

The other accused were identified as former Director General of Registration Directorate under Law Ministry, Khan Md Abdul Mannan and his wife Shakila Begum.

Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Al Amin, filed a petition seeking travel ban and blocking NIDs of former deputy speaker Tuku and his two sons.
