Travel ban on ex-minister Abdur Rahman

A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on former fisheries and livestock minister Abdur Rahman and his wife Dr Mirza Nahida Hossain over graft allegations, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Thursday , allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its plea said Dr Mirza Nahida Hossain get the property worth around Tk 63 million amassed illegally by her husband and kept those under her possession. The ACC already filed a case against her as she made suspicious transactions of Tk 265.6 million through 16 bank accounts.
