The United Kingdom (UK) is providing £33,000 of immediate humanitarian assistance in Bangladesh to support over 12,000 people affected by severe flooding in Feni, Khagrachari, and Noakhali, report agencies.
This will provide vital search and rescue, food, cash transfers, clean water, sanitation and hygiene supplies, said the British High Commission in Dhaka on Monday.
It will be implemented by Start Fund Bangladesh and Save the Children International, the High Commission said.
The total number of families stranded by the widespread flooding has reached 1.2 million.
