United Medical College Hospital observes Global Fatty Liver Day

United Medical College Hospital organised a public awareness campaign, at its Madani Avenue office in the capital on Thursday, marking Global Fatty Liver Day, says a press release.

The initiative, the first of its kind, brought together renowned artists to promote awareness of liver health through artistic expression.

As part of the programme, the artists created and showcased artworks depicting their interpretations of fatty liver disease, helping communicate important health messages in an engaging and accessible manner.The event also featured a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session, educational activities, basic health screenings, and public awareness initiatives aimed at promoting liver health and preventive care.

Speaking on the occasion, Ariful Hoque, AGM (Business Development) of United Medical College Hospital, said the initiative sought to build a meaningful connection between art and healthcare.
