International Crimes Tribunal on Wednesday concluded the arguments of a war crime case and kept the verdict to deliver any day against a Mymensingh suspect for his alleged crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971, reports UNB.

The accused is identified as Riaz Uddin Fakir, who was arrested on August 11 in 2015.

A three-member Tribunal led by Md Shahinur Islam wrapped up the case and kept it on CAV (Curia Advisari Vult, a Latin legal term meaning the court awaits judgement).

Two other accused in the case - Hazi Amzad Ali earlier died in police custody and Waz Uddin Fakir died while he was absconding.

Prosecutor Rhishikesh Saha said Riaz Uddin who was then chief of Al-Badr Bahini faces charges of murder, mass killing, arson attack and looting in Phulbari upazila in the district during the War of Independence in 1971.

A total of 19 witnesses testified against the suspect and all four allegations against Riaz Uddin were proved, he said.
