Voters can apply to change voting areas: EC

Voters of different constituencies can now apply for transferring their voting areas due to change in their residential addresses.

To his effect, the Election Commission (EC) has directed all its officials concerned through a letter on Tuesday.

The letter signed by the EC's Senior Assistant Secretary Nasir Uddin Chowdhury was sent to all upazila and thana election officers.

Those who want to transfer their voter registration due to the change of residential address must apply by November 10.

Election officials have also been instructed to complete the process of approval or rejection to applications by November 17.
