$385.72m remitted home during January 1-9

The country received $385.72 million in remittance in the first nine days of the current month. Of the total amount, non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) living in different countries sent $61.66 million in the first two days and $324.06 million in the next seven days from January 3-9, according to data available from the Bangladesh Bank. The statistics shows the four state-owned commercial banks -- Agrani, Janata, Rupali and Sonali -- received $115.65 million from the expatriate Bangladeshis and specialised four state-owned banks $4.57 million during the period. — UNB
