Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized 0.12 million (120,000) Yaba tablets and a boat in Naf River in Teknaf Uapzila of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday. Being tipped off, a team of BGB-42 Battalion conducted a drive in No 4 Sluice Gate area in Naf River near a dam of Water Development Board and challenged a boat coming from Myanmar around 3:00am, said Commanding Officer of BGB-42 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Abujar Al Zahid. Sensing presence of the border force, the smugglers managed to escape leaving behind a boat from which the BGB men recovered 120,000 pieces of the contraband tablets. They also took the boat into custody, according to a news agency.
