0.14m Yaba seized in Teknaf

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in a drive recovered 0.14 million pieces of Yaba tablet in new Jetty Ghat area of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday. Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-42 said, tipped off, a team of BGB-42 challenged a boat from Myanmar carrying smugglers while crossing the Naf River in the area near the residence of MP Abdur Rahman Bodi of Cox's Bazar-4 constituency around 8:30 am. Sensing the presence of the BGB team, the smugglers managed to flee, leaving behind the Yaba tablets, kept in three packets. Later the BGB team recovered 0.14 million Yaba pills from the three packets worth Tk 42 million. None was arrested in this connection, according to a news agency.
