Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered about 0.1 million (100,000) pieces Yaba in Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday. Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zar Al-Zahid, commanding officer of 42 BGB Battalion based in Teknaf, confirmed the report saying a Myanmarese national has been arrested in this connection. He said a team of BGB noticed a dozen men, equipped with sharp weapons, arrived in Alugolla under Nazirpara union in Teknaf Upazila in two boats from Myanmar and the boats went back leaving the 12 person behind around 4:30am. The BGB team challenged them and they tried to run away. Chasing them, BGB fired gunshots in which Riadul Haque, 20, a citizen of Myanmar, sustained bullet injury in his right leg while his cohorts managed to escape. Following the incident, the BGB men searched the area and recovered three bags wrapped in plastic sheet, containing over 96,000 Yaba tablets, according to a news agency.
