0.20m tonnes of veg yield likely in four districts

NARAIL, May 05 (BSS): Farmers and officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) are expecting a bumper production of summer vegetables in south-western region under Khulna division in the current season.
The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) sources said farmers of the four south-western districts cultivated summer vegetables on a total of 19,640 hectares of land this year with the production target of 0.20 million tonnes.
The four south-western districts are Narail, Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat, the DAE added.
The DAE and Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation distributed agri-inputs including seeds to the farmers alongside providing necessary technical assistance.
